Knit at Night Knits Knockers
The Knit at Night crowd got started on their knitted knockers last night. Imagine, if you will, a room of 2o women, all discussing and/or knitting boobs! It certainly made for a fun and interesting evening. But, I think I will let the pictures tell the story.

I particularly like the “nipple ring” that Mandy added to hers!
We weren’t the only ones knitting knockers. I have gotten calls and emails from knitters around the state and nation saying they want to knit a knocker as well.
Then... I got an email from Scott. You remember Scott... our knitting Navy guy who is currently deployed in the part of the world that we see far too much of on the nightly news. Scott has a friend who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and he knit her a couple chemo caps. Here is the picture:

If that isn’t enough to make you say awwww... what a sweet guy... how about this:
Scott’s wife, Mindy, stopped by to fill me in on how he is doing and to pick up some needles to send to him so he can Knit a Knocker as well! Yeah Scott! He tells me that it will be out of pink alpaca.
Lots of non-knocker knitting has been happening as well. The Knitting Pure and Simple neck-down pullover seems to be the hot knit at the moment.
Jocelyn just completed one out of Noro (sorry this color has been discontinued, much to my dismay).

Vicky sent in pictures of her little angel wearing one out of Lorna’s Laces:

Another adorable model dragged her knitting mom into the shop to show off this Lorna’s colorway:

And Linda stopped by to show off her crochet scarf out of Debbie Bliss Soho
and I think to curse me a wee bit for encouraging her to take up a very addictive habit. She had stopped by the shop with her mother-in-law the previous week to look into trying crocheting. Her sister had sent her a book with great patterns. Unfortunately, the book was in Swedish! Linda is Swedish, but didn’t really crochet yet, so we spent some time trying to translate and figure out which pattern would be best for her to try. As you can see, she is a natural. And now a complete fiber addict like the rest of us. Welcome Linda!!
