With all the craziness of the past few weeks, I haven't felt like I accomplished much in the knitting department, despite always having needles in my hand. Today, I thought it was time to evaluate the status of recent projects.
There is my current favorite - and finished piece! - the cropped cardigan from Blue Sky Alpacas.

It fits like a dream and was heavenly to knit. Pure alpaca on size 11 needles. Ahhhhhhhh.
Next up is a new project I grabbed after visiting my grandparents. Turns out my grandmother could use some thick socks to keep her feet warm. Again, Blue Sky Alpacas to the rescue. I don't think anyone could be cold with chunky alpaca/wool socks.

This is how far I got last night while watching Desperate Housewives:

During Knit at Night, I have been plugging away on the sleeves for Peter's sweater. Thanks to Terri's brilliant suggestion of tying the correct sides together so I don't get mixed up AGAIN on which one I am supposed to be knitting, they have been growing.

A few more repeats have been added to the Alpine Lace when quiet moments magically appear.

And the zipper for my Rogue arrived this weekend!!!! Yay!!

I'll be sewing this in by hand, so it waits for that thing people refer to as "free time."
I'm not the only one making progress in the knitting realm.
Patti finished her tangled yoke cardigan. Beautiful!

Bridget shared these adorable booties and the most incredible gnome:

Both Terri and Anna have been working on the magic loop method for knitting socks. Terri created this mini-version in Spunky Eclectic:

And Anna's in Lorna's Laces:

Becka finished her first pair of socks ever and gave them to mom:

Mary Ellen finished her first Hedgie - hee hee-

And Mindy made the tiniest booties:

And this doesn't count the multiple KALs being planned for the winter (details later) and the projects lined up to jump on the needles.
One of those is a pair of socks just for me out of a very special yarn. Sara knew I couldn't make it to Amy's grand opening of the Spunky Eclectic shop in Lisbon so she got me a little present from that day. Some beautiful Spunky sock yarn.

I'm gonna have hot pink socks!! Thanks Sara!
She wasn't the only one who knew how sorry I was to miss Amy's big day. Scott brought me an early holiday gift:

Luxurious roving in the Spunky Grand Opening colorway. He knows how desperately I want to start spinning. I think this is his way of pushing me over the wheel-buying cliff. AAGGHHH... I'm falling and I can't get up. Thanks Scott!
