I am at the point where I am practically stalking UPS - and FedEx, for that matter! My books from Interweave Press and most of my Noro and Debbie Bliss yarns reportedly shipped last week and should be arriving any day. So I've been watching out the window for the trucks all week, and every day have been disappointed as they sailed by the shop. Perhaps tomorrow...
Emily came in today with this most adorable little yellow baby hat knit out of Cascade's Fixation to use as a store sample. Thank you!! Emily is an amazing knitter and bears some of the responsibility for my yarn obsession and new career path.

For those who haven't tried Fixation - it is a remarkable yarn. With 98.3% cotton and 1.7% elastic, it makes a great sock yarn, baby yarn, or whatever you can think up that needs a little stretch to it.
One more full day to go before we officially open the doors. Peter has spent the day tweaking the database, I spent the morning ordering more yarn (yeah!!! details to come...), and Connor got to go to the library. He got the coolest book on dinosaurs that has life-sized pictures of dinosaur heads and such. The T-Rex jaws were quite startling. Little Alec is spending the day with his friends at daycare to give Mommy a chance to get the yarn arranged without his "help."
