Our first Rogue/Eris KAL gathering was absolutely exhilarating and a bit overwhelming as more and more Roguers appeared. Thankfully, thoughtful knitters had brought extra chairs!
It was just so incredible to look around the room and see so many knitters tackling a project together. You could hear snatches of conversation around the room as the best cast on methods were discussed, gauge swatches were knit and analyzed, and modifications were debated.
Cheryl astounded us all with her modification to the front pocket. She added a cable knot from the book Cables Untangled. Check out the result:

She inspired Jocelyn to devise a front pocket design of her own. Perhaps we’ll see it next week.
Jocelyn pointed out that the pattern offers one modification that asks for a saxon braid, but gives no chart for such a braid. Luckily, the collective wisdom of the room quickly recommended 2 resources: the Walker Treasury #3, and knittingdaily.com .

It was a wonderful afternoon. I can’t wait until next Saturday. My Rogue is still on chart A so I have some work to do. Although, remember, there is no deadline. No rules. You can still join us, and in fact, we have new knitters coming on Saturday.
